Torrans Manufacturing Company, LLC proudly announces the opening of its new Outlet Store and Glory Dayz Eatery (903-665-7055)! The restaurant and store is located at 118 E. Henderson in beautiful historic downtown Jefferson, Texas. 

The property has been in the Torrans family for many, many years and until July of 2008 it served as the company’s central warehouse and distribution point. Constructed in the 1920’s, the building has functioned in several roles. Its original purpose was as a blacksmith shop, twice dressed out as an automobile dealership later to become the school district’s bus barn, a welding shop and finally assuming the role of warehouse. After such a long and widely varied carrier, the grounds around the old building were left in very poor shape with nothing but oil stained red dirt and pea gravel as its landscape. The last tenants, John and Evelyn Maclean utilized the building to house antiques for their business, Good Pickin’s. Thankfully through twenty-five years of patient and loving care, they managed to transform what was an unsightly raw parking lot into a wonderfully lush garden. It is now a picturesque center piece of downtown boasting many distinctive trees and flora, some quite unique and rare.

Torrans Outlet Store and Glory Dayz will utilize several of the garden’s open spaces for outdoor seating so its patrons or anyone interested can relax and enjoy this splendid floral environment. Seating and dining arrangements are via Torrans Manufacturing 1950’s style metal lawn furniture.   Sell of the Torrans 50s style furniture is available either through store or on-line store (Retrometalchairs.com).

The entire property has been designated a smoke free environment.

The store, diner and garden can be rented for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings or meetings.
